At Chillingham Castle private functions and Grand balls can last till dawn. There are candle lit dinner parties with log fires, archery competitions, weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, lectures, films, cart driving, clay shooting, just any event large or small can be individually arranged to suit you. The Great Hall and The Minstrels’ Hall were constructed in Tudor days for this very purpose, built out between two high fortified towers. They are hung with tapestries, arms and armour and both halls have two fine fire places. They respectively overlook the Courtyard and the South Lawn with its fountains and both have an atmosphere of historic grandeur.
